To make it easier, we’ve created a selection of our own favorites: from local supermarkets and stores, to lively food markets, and finally to some of our favourite restaurants.

Supermarkets and Shops
For everyday groceries and fresh produce, you’ll find excellent shopping options close to the villa. Just 3 minutes away is the new Constantia Emporium, offering luxury supermarkets, a bakery, pharmacy, and a range of specialty stores. A little further lies Constantia Village, with an even broader selection of shops and services in a charming setting. For larger retail needs, the Blue Route Mall in Tokai is less than 10 minutes’ drive and provides a full mall experience with international and local brands.

Peddlars (2 minutes)
A Constantia institution, offering everything from casual pub-style fare to more refined dining in a relaxed garden setting.
Constantia Uitsig (3–4 minutes)
This historic wine estate is home to several great choices, including The Blockhouse Kitchen, serving fresh seasonal dishes in a warm and contemporary atmosphere, as well as other inviting breakfast spots.
High Constantia (5 minutes)
This small centre features several gems: Foxcroft ($) with its acclaimed tasting menus, Stack & Stable for a lively bistro vibe, Old Town Italy for rustic Italian cuisine, and Chardonnay Deli, beloved for artisanal breakfasts and baked goods.
Steenberg Village (10 minutes)
A versatile hub for dining, including Jakes for hearty international flavours, The Hussar Grill for top-quality steaks, and Basil & Co, a stylish choice for contemporary dishes.
Steenberg Estate (11 minutes)
On the estate itself, you’ll find Tryn, offering elegant fine dining with a modern twist, and Bistro Sixteen82 ($), famous for tapas, fresh seafood, and its beautiful wine estate setting.
La Colombe (13 minutes)
One of South Africa’s most celebrated fine dining experiences($$) , consistently ranked among the top restaurants in the world. An unforgettable culinary highlight.
Kalk Bay (18 minutes)
This seaside town is full of character and offers great oceanfront dining. Highlights include The Harbour House (spectacular seafood right on the water), Sirocco for casual meals, and Ohana Café, a favourite for laid-back breakfasts by the sea

The Range (Friday evenings, 5 min drive)
A relaxed local favourite, just around the corner from the villa. Expect live music, casual bites, drinks, and a welcoming community vibe to start your weekend.
The Biscuit Mill (Saturday mornings & afternoons, +/- 17 min drive)
Home to the famous Neighbourgoods Market, this buzzing hub in Woodstock is a must for foodies. From artisanal baked goods to gourmet street food, it’s a Cape Town classic with a creative flair.
Oranjezicht City Farm Market (Saturday mornings & Wednesday evenings, +/- 26 min drive)
Located at the Waterfront, this market combines the best of fresh farm produce with artisanal foods, all in a stunning seaside setting. A perfect stop before exploring Cape Town’s city centre.
Noordhoek Farm Village (Wednesday evenings, +/-21 min drive)
This charming family-friendly market offers a laid-back coastal vibe with live music, hearty food, and a warm community atmosphere.
Cape Point Vineyards Market (Thursday evenings, +/- 20 min drive)
One of the most scenic markets in the Cape, set against vineyards with sweeping views of Noordhoek Beach. A magical spot to enjoy sundowners and gourmet food stalls as the sun sets.
